I have very sad news... My Baby News, which is such a cute local baby store, is closing. I'm disappointed because their customer service was amazing and the knowledge of the staff was also very impressive. However, I must admit I didn't shop there much. If I could afford full price for everything, it would have been my first stop. But, just like so many other moms out there, I can't always afford full price.
Sad as I am to see this cute store close, I am more than willing to take advantage of it's closing sales. They're even selling the sales racks! Crazy!
I went in and took a peek around at several things I've been considering, including a new (much larger) sleep sack for The Bean. Though it's starting to warm up, it still gets pretty cold in the girl's room and occasionally The Bean wakes up with cold hands and feet. I can't in all good conscience squeeze her into the sleep sacks she used to wear, so I've been searching for a good deal on a larger one.
I noticed that their 'sale' prices were considerably higher than one would expect for a store going out of business. I was disappointed to note that some items I could get on Amazon for even cheaper than the clearance price at the store!
As I was checking my phone for the best deal, a sales woman approached me and asked if I had gotten a price list. I was confused. Everything already seemed to have a price. Apparently the marked prices were incorrect, as the store had been reducing things weekly. So I went ahead and got my sleep sack... originally $35 for $17! As well as a handful of other things I really didn't need, but just had to have!
Come on! Toys are expensive...
If you have the chance to visit before they're gone, then I would recommend stopping by, they still had lots to sell when I was there!
