Today is my first day with the kiddos and no helpers. I've got the munchkins to myself. It seems to be going fairly well... I can't quite lean over yet, but I am walking without support! Yippee!
The worst thing about laying around waiting for my back to heal up is staring at all the things I want to accomplish! My list gets longer every minute I lay here! It's terribly infuriating.
The day before I threw my back out I found an interesting (by that I mean do-able) chore chart that I think I can actually stay on top of! Just a few small morning jobs, then a few after the kids go to bed, nothing extreme or crazy. I really like how it incorporates just one load of laundry a day, instead of my marathon laundry days! Really excited to put it into my daily life... When I can move again!
Today couldn't help it. I started on the chore chart stuff. I accomplished all the easy morning chores, then did manage to do a load of laundry, which probably overdid things a tad, but I feel SO much better having done something!
After the laundry switch around I had Punkin Pie go play in our little backyard, I followed her out, enjoying some sun for a minute. I walked over to where she had planted two packets of seeds unbeknownst to me and I am super pleased to report they're growing! I can't believe it! But since Punkin Pie 'planted' them herself they're just sitting on top of the dirt, so will have to be replanted, but it looks like I'll have peas and carrots afterall this year!
I told her the good news about the peas and carrots and she was so excited! I thought it was because she likes peas so much but then she enlightened me by saying "bunnies like carrots! And I like Easter eggs! Filled with jello beans!"
...sigh...
At least I know she'll eat the peas. Right off the vine is her favorite treat!
